August 18, 2011Entries are now open for the
2011 Queensland 400 – proudly supported this year by Premium Partner PricewaterhouseCoopers and Awards Sponsors QUT Business School, OAMPS Insurance Brokers and UK Trade & Invest.
Launched in 1991, the
Queensland 400 is acknowledged as the premier forum for recognising and celebrating the achievements of the State’s unsung ‘business heroes’ — the owners of privately owned businesses who are the backbone of the Queensland economy – and their vital contribution to wealth and employment creation in the State.
ABOUT THE QUEENSLAND 400Now in its 21st year, the
Queensland 400 recognises and celebrates the achievements of the State’s private companies sector through:
- The official Queensland 400 listing of the State’s largest private companies, based on data collected through this annual survey by Premium Partner PricewaterhouseCoopers
- A commemorative magazine containing the lists and profiles of many Queensland 400 companies, distributed free to member companies and to a further 4,600 leading business owners and key stakeholders
- The prestigious Queensland 400 Gala Awards Dinner, to which all participants are invited to witness the unveiling of the official list and presentation of awards to a select number of companies
- The awarding of certificates to Queensland 400 members acknowledging inclusion in the Queensland 400, a members-only edition of the annual Queensland 400 magazine, and a special logo and other supporting materials for use in promoting membership of the Queensland 400
- Extensive and ongoing media coverage of the Queensland 400 and its members, through Queensland’s leading business e-newspaper Queensland Business Review, as well as other media within the ACP Magazines stable
BENEFITS OF PARTICIPATING
There are very real and very tangible benefits of participating. But just don’t take our word for it – here’s what members of the 2010 Queensland 400 have to say about the benefits of being a part of this prestigious program:
1. Recognition: “We intend to notify all our customers and staff of our Q400 membership, indicating how important we regard this recognition that reflects our efforts.”
2. Credibility: “The Q400 reinforces the credibility of my business and enhances its reputation due to acknowledgement as one of Queensland’s leading privately owned companies.”
3. Marketing: “The Q400 exposes us to the public and other businesses without direct marketing, giving credibility to our company by being included in the same list as many successful household names.”
4. Benchmarking: “The Q400 is something to strive towards in terms of focus to improve our business year on year. It gives our staff external recognition for their hard work and efforts.”
5. Networking: “A great opportunity to connect with like-minded businesses.”

The three key criteria are annual revenue, staff and gross assets for the 2010-11 financial year.
