Queensland-based IT companies Sitecore and Data#3 are among finalists for Microsoft’s renowned Partner of the Year Awards.

Sitecore, the leading provider of .NET Web Content Management System (CMS) software, has been announced as a finalist in the ISV/Software Solutions category.

Meanwhile, Data#3 is in the running for four awards: Core Infrastructure Partner of the Year – Desktop Platform and Server Platform; Enterprise Partner of the Year; and Large Account Reseller Partner of the Year.

Designed on Microsoft’s .NET environment, Sitecore CMS delivers an economical solution for capturing, organizing, storing, and producing Web-based content.

Sitecore is based on a flexible enterprise architecture that is readily adaptable to many business situations, and provides customers the scalability, performance, flexibility, and integration capabilities they need to manage multiple websites and seamlessly deliver compelling Web experiences.

Its development team continues to collaborate closely with Microsoft’s Windows Azure and SQL Azure technical teams in the development of its cloud computing solution.

Managing Director Philipp Heltewig says being recognised as a finalist is a great honour and demonstrates the company’s commitment to expanding the capability of its software.

“Microsoft naming Sitecore as a finalist for the ISV/Software Solutions award further solidifies our position as the CMS developer of choice in the Australian market,” Heltewig says.

The category winners will be announced tomorrow evening (September 2) at the Microsoft Partner Conference Closing Dinner being held at Jupiter’s Casino on the Gold Coast.
