August 27, 2010New York Times best selling author and renowned psychiatrist Dr Norman Doidge will join a panel of distinguished speakers at this year’s
CEO Summit organised by
University of Queensland Business School (UQBS) in Brisbane next month.
Doidge, the author of
The Brain That Changes Itself, will join business leaders from around Australia to discuss what business can learn from the arts and how creative and innovative business practice can be used to develop leadership skills, manage staff and improve the client experience.
Academic Dean and Head of UQ Business School, Professor Iain Watson, says the CEO Summit is an annual event which aims to provide senior executives with the opportunity to interact with industry leaders and peers to share ideas and experiences.
“Attendees will have a rare opportunity to interact with top business leaders from around Australia and reflect on their own leadership challenges and success,” Watson says.
“The Summit will explore ways business can learn from science and the arts and how best to apply innovative practice in the workplace,” he says.
Other keynote speakers include: Helen Besly, Director Rowland Communication; Julieanne Alroe, CEO Brisbane Airport Corporation; Jane Haley, CEO of Australian Business Arts Foundation and Patria Jafferies, Executive Director of His Majesty’s Theatre Foundation.
