Bentleys has boosted its corporate tax advisory team at a time of rapid market resurgence across business sectors.
Dean Steer has been appointed director of Bentleys’ tax consulting division in Brisbane, where he will lead the team alongside director John Newby and associate director Adam Hearne.
Bentleys managing director Ben Cameron says the appointment marks a period of rapid growth across sectors such as energy and natural resources, banking and finance, property and construction, manufacturing and retail.
“With the added uncertainty of a hung parliament and what this will mean for corporate tax, Dean’s addition to the Bentleys team will ensure we continue to provide the highest level of specialist service,” Cameron says.
“Coming direct from one of the Big 4 accounting firms, Dean has also held roles with the Australian Tax Office and the mining sector and is well-placed to advise on all corporate tax matters including income tax, inbound and outbound investments, fringe benefits tax and divestments and acquisitions,” he adds.
Bentleys is an association of independent accounting firms in Australia with specialty expertise in business advisory, taxation, corporate recovery, and audit.
Bentleys Queensland has been in operation since 1948 and works with clients across a diverse range of businesses and industries.
