Queensland tourism operators have just two days left to nominate for the Queensland Tourism Awards 2010.

Tourism Minister Peter Lawlor says nominations for this year’s awards are looking strong, but officials are hoping for an influx in the coming days.

"Entry numbers have been positive so far, but traditionally many nominations are submitted just before the closing date," Lawlor says.

"Entering the awards gives operators the chance to raise their business's profile and all winners automatically go through to the national level at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards,” he says.

"There are still two days left to nominate, so I urge all Queensland tourism operators not to miss this great opportunity."

The Queensland Tourism Awards, presented by Queensland Airports, will be held in November with further details to be announced.
