Industrea subsidiary, Huddy’s Mining Services, has signed a 24 month extension for the hire of seven of its Caterpillar 789C dump trucks with Warkworth Mining for the Rio Tinto coal mine at Mt Thorley Warkworth in the Hunter Valley.

Initially hired in February last year for 12 months, the excellent availability of the equipment coupled with increased production requirements at Mt Thorley Warkworth led to this extension for a further 24 months out to February, 2012.

Industrea Managing Director and CEO Robin Levison says the contract extension is likely to generate revenue of approximately $21.7m over the 24 month extension.

“We enjoy a good working relationship with Warkworth Mining and this latest extension bears testament to the availability and reliability of the Huddy’s fleet,” Levison says.

Huddy’s now has a major foothold in the Hunter Valley and we see that continuing as part of our ongoing diversification of the Huddy’s business,” he says.
