The National College of Business (NCB) is paving the way for aspiring leaders with the launch of Australia’s first business course designed for franchised businesses.

Kicking off today, NCB’s CEO Danyelle Mailer says the course has been tailor-made to heighten the success experienced by franchisees.

“This course will address the unique qualities that make a franchise work while also focussing on business education and financial management of the franchise,” Mailer says.

“People buy franchises because the branding, marketing and systems are already well established, so it’s important to optimise the benefits of this existing infrastructure,” she says.

“This course is very much grounded in reality and we would recommend it to anyone who owns a franchise no matter how big, how small, how new, how old, how quiet or how busy.”

The coursework will be centred on actual franchisee businesses, providing coaching, leadership, support and fun.

“You’re not taking time ‘out’ from your franchisee business, you’re dedicating time ‘on’ your business,” Mailer says.

Requiring only one day per month of face-to-face interaction, the course is also suitable for franchise owners travelling from regional areas.

Consistent with NCB’s “street smart” approach to education, the course was developed in collaboration with franchisors and founders of Fruition Tuition who have successfully completed Level 1 and Level 2 of NCB’s Business Mastery Course.
