Eagle Boys Pizza Founder Tom Potter will share stories of his business journey for a good cause at the SIDS and Kids Business Breakfast in Brisbane next week.

Leaving school at 15, Potter found himself jobless at 23 and opened his first pizza shop in 1987 with a loan from his mother.

He went on to create Eagle Boys Pizza, the largest privately owned Pizza Company in Australasia.

Through radical change, innovation and often unusual business and marketing tactics, Potter confirmed his status as one of Australia’s most outstanding retailers and entrepreneurs.

SIDS and Kids Events and Fundraising Coordinator Heather Kolar says Potter is sure to bring his unique personality and business acumen to the event.

“Tom’s wealth of experience and industry understanding are invaluable for business owners and entrepreneurs alike,” Kolar says.

“Tom is also a real Aussie character and his speaking engagements always provide plenty of laughs,” she says.

“We’re aiming to raise $8,000 from our breakfast series and we are getting close so we’re hoping for strong support from the local business community for this final event to help us reach our goal.”

The breakfast will be held at 7.00am on Friday, December 4 at the Tattersalls Club, 215 Queen Street, Brisbane. Tickets cost $45 per person (including GST).

All proceeds from the breakfast will be contributed to SIDS and Kids and used to fund core services including vital communication to families.

For further information phone (07) 3849 7122, RSVP Tuesday, December 1.
