In a bid to increase business opportunities for its renowned bevy of resorts, Ocean Hotels and Tourism has welcomed Lachlan Rentell as Domestic Leisure Sales Manager.

Rentell brings a wealth of world class experience to Long Island Resort, Whitsundays and Club Crocodile, Airlie Beach, following a successful decade working in management and executive roles within retail and travel.

In addition to overseeing new business development for both these resorts, Rentell says he will draw on his vast industry experience for his sales strategy and innovation implementing responsibilities.

“It’s extremely exciting to be applying my skills, knowledge and experience to further develop the market lead of some of the Whitsunday’s best resorts and hotels – Long Island Resort and Club Crocodile - and to be ultimately stimulating the Queensland Tourism industry,” he says.

Long Island Resort is the Whitsunday's natural island resort.

Surrounded by 2500 acres of unspoilt national park, it is the perfect place for families and couples to connect with nature.

With South Molle Island focusing on the single backpacker accommodation market, Long Island Resort is fast becoming the Whitsundays best value resort with sensational deals in the one of the world’s most picturesque settings.

Long Island Resort, Whitsundays recently secured its position as one of Queensland’s leading affordable getaway locations for families and couples, winning the 2009 Whitsunday Tourism Standard Accommodation Award for the second year in a row.
