Brisbane-based recruiter Employment Office is continuing its international expansion with the opening of a Canadian headquarters in Vancouver.

Canada marks the fifth country to host the recruitment marketing specialist, which has already been established in the UK, New Zealand and South Africa.

Managing Director Tudor Marsden-Huggins says the new location will help Canadian business keep their recruitment expenses down by offering a cost-effective alternative to traditional agencies.

“Employment Office works with employers to create recruitment campaigns that hone in on the best candidates for a fraction of the cost usually associated with finding and hiring new staff,” Marsden-Huggins explains.

“Employers pay one low fee per campaign, not per hired candidate, so they can offer a job to as many applicants as they like without enduring extra fees,” he says.

“It’s a significant step away from expensive recruitment models that have previously dominated the marketplace and driven budgets skywards.”

Employment Office is a recruitment solutions organisation that provides expert knowledge in effective recruitment and marketing strategies.

Deployed across a variety of cross-media marketing campaigns, its strategies assist businesses in finding top candidates at the lowest cost.

Online job boards, social media sites and industry portals are combined with traditional media advertising to give employers the best possible result.

Employment Office’s inventive approach has attracted the likes of Flight Centre, which bought 50 percent of the company last year.

As the airline giant’s first non-travel related business investment, it has since used Employment Office for all its recruitment needs worldwide.

Marsden-Huggins says the company will continue to venture into new international markets as fresh opportunities arise.

“We’re completely transforming the way businesses approach recruitment; they’re now managing their candidates online through one central system, exploring new media to attract job seekers and, most importantly, keeping their costs down,” he says.

“We’re confident that our way of doing things will continue to catch-on as employers realise there is a cheaper, quicker and simply a better way to find the right person for the job.”

The company’s current Australian client base includes Alex Fraser, Leigh Mardon, Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology, The Gainsdale Group and Comdain.
